Where Talking Makes a Difference

COVID-19 Statement

We are pleased to announce that Bay Counseling Clinic will be returning to face-to-face visits on May 26, 2020. Concerns regarding the transmission of COVID-19 are still active and we will be following guidelines issued by the CDC and the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation to reduce the risk to our clients and providers. Changes you can expect:

1. Our providers will be wearing face masks during all interactions with clients and we expect clients to do the same. We have a limited supply of masks that we can share with clients so we will appreciate your use of your own mask if you have one.

2. We have cleaned out our waiting room (including chairs) and will be working hard to ensure that you can begin your session immediately upon entering our offices.
• Plan to arrive “just in time” for your session.
• If you would like to remain in your vehicle and have your therapist text you when they are ready to begin, let your therapist know.
• Do not bring any extra people to your sessions.
• You can help our therapists stay on time by remembering that a therapy session is designed to last 45 minutes.

3. If you have any new physical health symptoms included on the CDC’s most common symptoms list in the 48 hours prior to your appointment, please cancel or re-schedule as a telephone/video contact. If you report any of these symptoms when you arrive or in your session, we will end the session immediately and re-schedule.
• Cough
• Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
• Fever
• Chills
• Muscle pain
• Sore throat
• New loss of taste or smell

4. We are hopeful that telehealth options will continue to be covered by health insurance until at least mid-July and we will continue to provide telehealth as long as possible in addition to in-person contacts. Contact your health insurance provider to find out what telehealth options are available to you.
